On Friday, November 26, 2021 at 9 a.m. Manila time, your hosts, Arlene Abad-Soncuya and Cora Guidote had a casual CHSAF Chat with Atty. Tess Herbosa (HS 68), our esteemed member of CHSAF’S Board of Trustees and former Chairperson of the Philippine Securities and Exchange Commission. We went down memory lane with her looking at her experiences as a student and as a career professional. We got a peek at what it is that drove her to become a prominent lawyer and an highly effective public servant.
We also spent time discussing the rationale behind the proposed amendments to CHSAF’s By-Laws and Articles of Incorporation, one that requires approval from a majority of all active members of CHSAF in the upcoming Annual General Membership Meeting on February 6, 2022.

Arlene: Good morning, partner!
Cora: Gandang umaga din, partner! And to all the beautiful people joining us today from different parts of the world.
Arlene: Oo nga and welcome to our first ever CHSAF Chats episode. Cora, paki explain nga what this show is all about and how it came to be?
Cora: As you know, CHSAF has been holding webinars for our members. But they usually feature non-alumni personalities kasi the focus is more about the topics and issues at hand. However, among our members, we have personalities and experts in various fields of endeavor who can share their insights and wisdom, most especially for the younger generation. Knowing that we have such experts among our alumni will make them feel proud of wearing the CHS or Holy Spirit badge. It’s time we put the spotlight on our own personalities, di ba?
Arlene: Yes, partner. Anyway, to give our audience an idea of what’s in store for today, we will have the following format.
- First is our Past Chat where we will be having a School Talk and a Career Talk with our guest
- Second part is a Serious Chat. Serious because she will be talking about the proposed amendments to the By-Laws and Articles of Inc. In this portion, we will be asking her about the feedback we gathered from the different batches so she can address them straight on.
- Third part is the Slumbook Chat. Siguro naman alam niyo kung ano ang slumbook if you came from our generation di ba?
- And finally, we will have a Pep Talk, a brief portion that will allow our guest to give her final words to inspire and motivate our alumni both young and not so young.
