Eligibility
- The alumna/alumnus is an Elementary, High School and/or College GRADUATE, or has completed at least 4 straight years of SSpS education at the Holy Ghost College (HGC)/College of the Holy Spirit Manila (CHSM).
- The alumna/alumnus is a CHSAF member of good standing.
- The alumna/alumnus has never received a CHSAF Outstanding Alumni Award.
- The alumna/alumnus is not an incumbent member of the Alumni Awards Committee.
Criteria
- Distinguished Professional Achievement (30%) through excellent and exceptional work, and impactful contributions to her/his chosen fields of endeavor.
- Work and products (e.g. studies, systems, designs, art or literary works, inventions, technology) are recognized to be breakthroughs or major contributions in the advancement of one’s profession or field of endeavor.
- Work and products show high innovation and creativity in pursuing novel ideas, methods, processes and products; and groundbreaking solutions in her/his chosen fields of discipline.
- Work or products have inspired others to pursue further determined work, investigation, innovation and creation.
- Awards of excellence or recognition received for one’s body of work or products.
- Social Impact (30%) by having made a significant positive impact in the community, industry, or society, whether nationally or internationally.
- Work or products have helped improve the quality of lives of certain sectors of society (e.g. improved health and safety, education, improved environmental conditions, livelihoods and standards of living, especially of poor families).
- Work or products have enhanced understanding, tolerance, peace and respect among societies of diverse cultures, norms and beliefs.
- Work or products have created a positive impact locally or nationally or internationally.
- Service and Philanthropy (20%) by having contributed significantly and with dedication to voluntary service and programs, which have been proven to benefit disadvantaged groups or communities, institutions or societies.
- Personal time and talents contributed to voluntary service groups or programs helping disadvantaged groups, or working for causes such as environmental conservation, and human welfare and development.
- Documented benefits gained by the disadvantaged groups and communities, due to the services and programs.
- Personal Integrity and Character (20%) by living out the CHSM values of “Truth in Love,” and serving as a role model by consistently practicing integrity and ethical behavior; and commitment to excellence and social responsibility.
- Testimonies of personal integrity and ethical behavior from teachers, SSpS sisters, fellow alumni and/or work colleagues
- No known complaint or negative feedback about the person’s character raised by any party.
