On May 20, 2023, Saturday @ 5:00 p.m. Manila time, CHSAF Trustee Deanna GoBio will share with us her engaging life story, her adventures that took her to places and spaces the Holy Spirit Sisters would never have imagined.
From a sheltered and conservative life, a 60’s culture clash for having decided to live in New York opened Deanna’s eyes to real life issues such as sexual harassment and discrimination. Deanna questioned and challenged her Catholic education, trying to find meaning amidst the realities she faced.
A meandering spirit that she had for forty years, she will share her miraculous journey back to her faith with the help of Mother Josepha and St. Anthony de Padua. She attests to her SSpS/CHSM values eventually being a key factor of her happy life.
Deanna is a strong advocate of women’s rights and the empowerment that good education provides; hence her strong commitment to CHSAF’s Scholarship Program.
